Research has found that without a doubt one of the most effective pre-workout drinks is coffee. Combining coffee and exercise makes sense when you think about it… coffee gives you more energy, you seemingly feel more alert and ready to take on the day, however, there are so many other health related benefits which make it the best drink to start off any workout.

Coffee when consumed prior to exercise can cause fat cells to be used as an energy source rather than glycogen. Additionally the caffeine in coffee helps to increase you metabolism which will help you to burn even more calories during the day

  • Increases performance

Sports Medicine published a report which found that caffeine is a powerful ergogenic acid, which allows for athletes to train at a greater intensity or for a longer period of time.

  • Improves focus

Coffee it has been found improves focus and decision making. When this is applied to a workout, coffee can improve your mental focus which allows you to workout more productively and effectively.

  • Prevents Disease

Coffee contains high quantities of antioxidants which can help to protect against free radicals attacking your body. Studies have found that coffee can help to prevent; diabetes, Parkinson’s disease and some forms of cancer.
